MP John Carmichael says arranging a public meeting for the Toronto Airport Noise Group (TANG) with federal officials may be delayed because of proroguing of Parliament, according to TANG Chair Margaret Evans, who met with him recently with Leasider Renee Jacoby.
Evans says she is cautiously optimistic about an October or November meeting with NAV Canada, Transport Canada and the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority).
She says TANG has created a research committee to examine how other cities internationally are dealing with excessive air traffic.
