Bennington Heights and Leaside are still joined together in holy political union, at least federally.
Earlier plans to move Bennington Heights out of Don Valley West riding and pair it with Rosedale have been dropped following objections from Don Valley West MP John Carmichael.
But there will be changes.
The communities of Don Mills, Wynford-Concorde and Flemingdon Park will move to Don Valley East.
To compensate, Don Valley West will pick up the Davisville area: from Bayview west to Mt. Pleasant and from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery north to Broadway Ave., an area that was formerly in the riding of St. Paul’s. This means that both sides of the Bayview business area will now be in Don Valley West.
