Hanging in London

Pamela Newell SellersThis realistic style portrait of long-time Leaside resident Pamela Newell Sellers is the only Canadian work in the 2013 BP Portrait Award exhibition on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London, England.

It was painted in egg tempera on a birch panel by her daughter-in-law, Leslie Watts, of Stratford, ON, and is one of 55 portraits chosen from almost 2,000 entrants from 77 countries. It will be at the Gallery until Sept. 15 and then tour the United Kingdom until June 2014.

Sellers, who now lives in Briton House on Mt. Pleasant, used to live on Bessborough and then at SAHIL on McRae.
